How the Draft Board Uses Eval Data
After your evaluation sessions are complete, the Draft Board uses the scored data to run a fair, structured team draft.
Player pool. Every evaluated player appears in the draft pool, ranked by their composite score. The coordinator and coaches can see each player's scores and how they compare to the group.
Rounds. Players are automatically tiered into rounds based on their composite scores. Round 1 contains the highest-rated players, Round 2 the next tier, and so on. This ensures that each round of the draft contains players of similar ability.
Snake draft. The draft runs in snake order. Team 1 picks first in Round 1, last in Round 2, first again in Round 3. This gives every team a fair shot at talent across the full draft.
Auto-picks. If a coach has a child in the eval, the coordinator can designate that player as an auto-pick for the coach's team. The auto-pick fires in whatever round the player naturally falls into based on their eval score. A coach's kid who scored in the bottom tier gets auto-picked in the bottom round, not stolen from the top. This is the fairest approach to mandatory coach-child placement.
Coach participation. Each team can receive a unique draft link. The coach opens the link on their own device, sees the available players and their scores, and makes their pick when it is their turn. The coordinator retains override control at all times.
